
CAUGHT: Woman was wanted for Clayton murder; child is safe, police say
CLAYTON, N.C. (WNCN) – Camille Singleton, who was charged in relationship with a Thursday murder in Clayton, North Carolina, was apprehended and arrested in Georgia right now, Clayton spokesperson Nathanael Shelton verified.
Singleton is wanted for the murder of 68-12 months-outdated Inita Gaither, in accordance to a prior release from Shelton.
Gaither was discovered dead in a household together Crawford Parkway, which is just off of W. Principal Road in Clayton. She was shot in the head with a handgun, according to the incident report.
Law enforcement Main Greg Tart advised CBS 17 on Thursday night that the incident started as a welfare verify connect with built by family members close to 4:30 p.m. Authorities reported Gaither was related to Singleton.
Also, an Amber Inform was issued for Singleton’s 2-yr-aged son, Dior.

The warn has been cancelled as Dior was observed with his mother. He is also now in law enforcement custody, safe.
