Thursday will make a run for the upper 60s, the moment yet again peaking higher than standard for this time of year. Showers will be widely scattered at to start with, arriving shortly immediately after noon and getting to be much more common as we head into Thursday night.

Cooler temperatures will just take more than this weekend as a next dry cold front crosses into the Carolinas bumping afternoon highs into the small 60s to higher 50s and right away lows in the 30s!
