CHARLOTTE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) – A gun was observed on a student coming into Garinger Higher College Thursday early morning, school officials verify.
Assistant Principal Tomeka Barbour reported regulation enforcement was named to the scene to make sure the basic safety and protection of pupils and staff members.
The assistant principal claimed “appropriate disciplinary action” will be taken versus any scholar violation of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Educational facilities policy.
In October, a Garinger Superior University pupil was charged after a gun and two loaded publications have been located inside of the gymnasium following the college was positioned on lockdown for a nearby taking pictures.
During the Oct incident, CMPD said a college sources officers overheard nearby gunfire around 7 a.m. on Tuesday. Principal Sharon Bracey stated shots were being fired in the vicinity of the school’s campus by suspects believed to be in a black SUV, and the suspects that have been specific by the gunfire returned hearth and fled to campus.
Pursuing the capturing, school officials reported all arriving pupils were being directed into the fitness center. Students who experienced previously arrived at faculty had been taken to the cafeteria. CMPD officers started the research in the health club exactly where the firearm was recovered.
A single Garinger university student confronted many fees stemming from the incident, such as possession of a stolen firearm.
