CHARLOTTE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) – A Charlotte-Mecklenburg Law enforcement Officer who had served the local community for 28 decades has died, CMPD Chief Johnny Jennings claimed Tuesday.
“It is with a weighty heart that I share with our Charlotte relatives of Officer Julio Herrera’s passing,” Jennings tweeted.
The police chief mentioned Herrera served the community for 28 many years and mentored college students at Ardrey Kell Superior University.
Officer Herrera is survived by his spouse and two young children.
Officials did not deliver aspects about the method of the officer’s death.
