Prisoner in Lancaster County stabs guard, steals keys; others don’t join him
KERSHAW, S.C. (AP) — An inmate in a South Carolina prison stabbed a guard and stole his keys Monday night, but other inmates did not join him in the disturbance even soon after he unlocked their cells, officials mentioned.
Immediately after stabbing the guard 4 moments with a do-it-yourself weapon, the inmate held the officer hostage for a quick time at the Kershaw Correctional Establishment in Lancaster County, the Corrections Department mentioned in a statement.
The officer was becoming handled at the clinic, but was anticipated to be unveiled devoid of remaining right away, jail officers said.
