Sheriff: Armed man captured in Charlotte after carjacking, kidnapping 2 teens in South Carolina
CHESTER COUNTY, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) – Two teenagers escaped an armed guy following deputies say they were being kidnapped at gunpoint from a gas station Sunday evening in Clinton.
The incident commenced all over 9 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7. According to the Chester County Sheriff’s Office environment, two teens had been feuling their 2012 Chevy Camaro at a Pilot gas station in Laurens County when a male, afterwards recognized as Curtis Tompkins, of Greenwood, approached the two teens, inquiring for a journey.
The suspect confirmed the teens a substantial sum of funds, and the two agreeed to give Tompkins a ride. Soon after a quick while, Tompkins pulled out a firearm, took 1 of their cell telephones, and began purchasing them around.
