IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) – A paramedic in Cabarrus County was arrested Wednesday right after he was accused of stealing property from his ex-fiancé’s household after their romantic relationship finished previous month, in accordance to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office environment.
Authorities stated deputies responded to a “domestic incident” at a household on Holt Lane in southern Iredell County Wednesday.
Deputies explained they spoke to a woman on the scene who claimed she and 46-calendar year-old Casey Kovacs had been engaged and had finished their engagement in mid-October. The female reportedly advised deputies that Kovacs experienced been returning to her house considering the fact that their relationship ended and was eradicating and harmful home at the property.
Investigators attained a warrant to lookup Kovacs’ residence where they recovered the stolen property. Deputies also located numerous drugs at the home, like Fentanyl, Oxycodone and Tramadol.
Kovacs was arrested and charged with trespassing, larceny, damage to property, breaking and entering, two counts of possession of a Routine II managed substance and misdemeanor possession of a Program IV controlled compound.
Cabarrus County officials confirmed that Kovacs worked as a part-time senior paramedic.
The Iredell County Sheriff’s Place of work said the investigation is ongoing and further rates are feasible.
