CHARLOTTE (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) — NASCAR Corridor of Famer Tony Stewart is launching a new NHRA race workforce. Leah Pruett, Stewart’s fiancée, will be the driver, sources inform FOX Charlotte’s Will Kunkel. The announcement is expected to be made formal Thursday morning.
Stewart, operator of Tony Stewart Racing and co-proprietor of Stewart-Haas racing, expended 18 yrs driving in the NASCAR Cup Collection. He retired in 2016 to concentration on his possession duties. Although in the motor vehicle, Stewart received the 1999 Winston Cup Collection Rookie of the Year and went on to gain 49 races and tallying 308 best tens in 618 races. “Smoke” was inducted into the NASCAR Corridor of Fame in 2020.
