
South Carolina teacher arrested after student takes marijuana gummies from prize box in classroom, sheriff says
LEXINGTON, S.C. (WGHP) — A South Carolina trainer was arrested immediately after a university student allegedly uncovered and took a pack of cannabis gummies from a classroom prize box, in accordance to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Office environment.
Victoria Farish Weiss, 27, is charged with possession of a plan I drug.
On Sept. 23, the Lexington County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation immediately after a report that a pupil at Rocky Creek Elementary College experienced taken a pack of marijuana edibles from a prize box in a teacher’s classroom. The prize box was employed to reward college students.

The gummies are a variety of cannabis edible or cannabis-based foodstuff merchandise. Although they are offered in other states and on the internet, they are unlawful in South Carolina, in accordance to Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon.

Weiss turned herself in on Friday morning.
