US Marshals allegedly ambushed Brian Laundrie lookalike on Appalachian Trail in NC
U.S. Marshals allegedly ambushed an innocent male who they mistakenly believed to be fugitive Brian Laundrie, needed in relationship with the Gabby Petito homicide situation, The New Yorker reported Saturday.
Severin Beckwith and his companion Anna Brettmann, both equally from Ithaca, N.Y., have been woken up at their North Carolina resort with a knock on the door and U.S. Marshals bursting in with guns drawn even though on a hiking journey from Georgia to Virginia alongside the Appalachian Path.
“Next point I see is a bunch of guys with riot shields with ‘U.S. Marshals’ prepared on them,” Beckwith told The New Yorker. “Handguns pointed at my facial area,” he additional.
