Woman, child attacked by dog at Monroe bus stop; dog killed, police say
MONROE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) – An officer shot and killed a canine Monday afternoon immediately after it allegedly attacked a girl and her 5-calendar year-outdated daughter at a university bus end in Monroe, according to the Monroe Police Section.
Police said an officer responded to a bus stop on Old Charlotte Highway about 3 p.m. Monday after authorities received quite a few studies about folks staying attacked by a canine.
As the officer arrived on scene, law enforcement said the bus driver yelled that canines ended up attacking a girl and a baby. The officer observed a German Shepherd blend and a Rottweiler at the scene.

Authorities said the Shepherd mix arrived towards the officer aggressively and he tried to transfer away. The pet ongoing to behave aggressively and the officer was compelled to shoot the animal.
The Rottweiler reportedly ran absent and was secured in a gate.
Following the investigation, police identified that the German Shepherd attacked the female and her daughter as she was having off the faculty bus. Both of those endured from bites and scratches.
The mother and daughter had been equally handled for their accidents on scene.
Animal management officers gathered the wounded dog and later on confirmed that the animal was useless. Officers also spoke to the dogs’ proprietor about the Rottweiler.
As of Tuesday early morning, no prices have been submitted against the dogs’ owner. The investigation remains ongoing.
